RAWA ORGANISED A LIVELY CULTURAL EVENING BASED ON PRABHAT SAMGIITA ON 27TH OCTOBER AT SCIENCE CITY AUDITORIUM IN KOLKATA.
Today Renaissance Artists’ and Writers’ Association (RAWA), the Cultural wing of Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha has organised a symposium cum cultural evening based on Prabhat Samgiita at science city main auditorium . The program commenced with Kuchipudi Group Dance by Kuchipudi Kalamadhuri. Acahraya Bhaveshanda Avadhuta, President of the program inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp along with all guests sitting on the Dais. On this occasion, Prof. Gopalchandra Misra, former V.C., Gour Banga University and Eminent Educationist was felicitated for his contribution to the education. On behalf of RAWA, Acahraya Bhaveshanda Avadhuta, Prof. B. N. Bhattacharya, Director, Vedic School of Studies, Rabindra Bharati University, Acharaya Sutirthananda Avt and Acharya Divyachetanananda Avadhuta, Central RAWA Secretary presented a Shawl, Shriphal, memento and citation to Prof Gopalchandra Misra respectively. After felicitation, Prof Gopalchandra Misra spoke about the contribution of RAWA and also expressed his gratitude to RAWA for his felicitation.
He further said that Shri Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar aka Shri Shri Anandamurtiji was the spiritual founder of Ananda Marga and He was the greatest intellectual in the twentieth Century. Prof. B. N. Bhattacharya, Director , Vedic School of Studies, Rabindra Bharati University as the Chief Guest talked on Prabhat Samgiita and Shrii Shrii Anandamurtijii’s philosophy ( Anandasutram). Prof. Debasish Mandal, Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, Rabindra Bharati University as the Guest of Honour delivered a talk on Prabhat Samgiita.
He said that Shri Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar has composed 5018 songs in eight different languages within eight years. Its lyrical excellence and melodious beauty are unparalleled. the Guest of honor. Acharaya Bhaveshananda Avt., Central Committee member, AMPS, presided over the function. Acharaya Sutirthananda Avt., Central Committee member, AMPS, was the special Guest. Sweta from Taiwan sang devotional songs of Prabhat Samgiita. Dipanwita Choudhury, Play back Singer and Winner of Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Biswasera’ 08 and Acharaya Priyashivananda Avt sang six songs of Prabhat Samgiita composed and set to tunes by Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar and they enthralled the audience by her melodious voice. Dhruba Dance Academy, Kuchipudi Kalamadhuri and Nikkan Nrityangan, Mekhliganj, Cooch Behar performed group dance based on Prabhat Samgiita. Dr. Vishwajit Bhowmik gave a vote of thanks.
