The recent incident at Malur in Karnataka is rightly being condemned by all the Margiis*. The law will take its own course and time to find the culprits and impose punishment. But it is more important for the Margii community to find out the root cause of such happenings.
We talk a lot about PROUT, Decentralized Economic system and its principles. We proudly say that the first principle of DE is that the local people should have the control over local resources. But we think that this applies to the outside world but not AMPS. We support the idea that all the properties of AMPS should be controlled by the centre and not by the local units. If any Margi or the local or state unit comes forward to assert that the local properties should be controlled and managed by the local Margiis, we never hesitate to join hands with the centre to condemn the local margiis or brand them as anti-organizational.
We propagate the idea that the Central Government should delegate more economic powers to the states and confine itself to defense, foreign policy etc., Whereas we never assert for this golden rule to be followed by AMPS.
Our CC says that it is the duty of the Bhukti Committee to take care of and maintain the AMPS properties. We take pleasure in surrendering our moral right and responsibilities at the feet of central Dadas. We have learnt to keep mum wherever and whenever there is lack of transparency in accounting of school, children home, Jagrati, seminars etc., lest the Dadas/Didis will get displeased.
We declare that everyone should get socioeconomic security by making minimum essentialities of life available. Do we follow this principle in AMPS? Or have we designed any viable system for that? The result is that our WTs are forced to look after their economic security in their own ways and their mundane issues have gained priority over their spiritual duties and responsibility.
Unless the Margii community starts implementing the principles of PROUT’s Decentralized Economy in AMPS (i.e. letting themselves take control and care of the local properties, devising a viable system of socioeconomic security to WTs, and come out of the dogma that Grihiis must be subservient to the centre), such incidents will continue.
We all know that such fights among the various groups are taking place for the sake of property and power, and these are in no way connected to our ideology. We should know that principles of PROUT and AM are also applicable to AMPS. We need to take over the responsibility of managing existing properties for the benefit of the community. We should start registering new properties in the name of local/samaj/state-level AMPS units. It is also impractical to control and manage the larger number of properties spread across the country by a centralized organization system. The solution lies in following a decentralized management system.
It is high time that we stop the blame game, start introspecting, carry out the the responsibilities and exercise the rights given to Margiis by Baba.
