On the eve of 41st Prabhat Samgiita Divas, the Department of Performing, arts,Bangalore University in collaboration with Renaissance Artists and Writers Association (RAWA), the cultural wing of Ananda Marga Pracarak Samgha, Bangalore Chapter has organised a ‘National Seminar on Prabhat Samgiita composed and set to tunes by Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar/ Shri Shri Anandamurti. on 14 September, 2023 at Venkat Giri Gowda, Auditorium, Bangalore University. The program commenced with singing of Prabhat Samgiita by the students of Performing Arts, Bangalore University. Prof. K Ramakrishnaiah , Chairperson, Performing Arts, Bangalore University delivered a Welcome Speech and he also highlighted the philanthropic work done by RAWA. Dr. G V Geetha, Department of Dance compered the entire program.*
*Prof. B. Gangadhara, Director, Babu Jagjeevan Ram Study and Research Bangalore University inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp and also offered flowers to the portrait of Shri Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. He spoke on multifarious contribution of Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar.*
*Acharya Divyachetnand Avadhuta, Central RU & RAWA Secretary delivered the keynote Address. In his talk he highlighted the multifarious contribution of Shri Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar also known as Shri Shri Anandamurtiji. He said Lord Shiva was the* *embodiment of Samgiita. Here , Samgiita means song, Dance and instrumental music. Lord Shiva first invented Sursaptak. Here Prabhat Samgiita means songs of New Dawn and most of the songs of Prabhta Samgiita were composed in Bengali. Around fifty songs were composed in other*
*languages which include English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Magahi, Maithili and Angika.*
*Prabhat Samgiita. songs are an expression of* *supra-aesthetic science, encouraging the aspirant to transcend the boundaries of mundane life and become ensconced in the beauty of spiritual bliss. The poetry of lyrics expresses elements of love, mysticism, devotion, neohumanism and revolution and the songs present a wide spectrum of both Eastern and Western music. He said that Prabháta Saḿgiita is the feeling of the heart, and the expression of the heart, and it has been written with the ink of the heart. Prabháta Saḿgiita - Songs of the New Dawn - a collection of 5,018 spirituality-oriented songs composed by Shrii Prabhát Ranjan Sarkar over a span of mere eight years (September 14th 1982 - October 20th 1990). The tunes include a variety of forms and styles with elements spanning from classical to folk music. Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar has written more than 500 books consisting of Philosophy, Language, Literature, Music, Neohumanism, Economics, History, Science etc. Shri P Thejas, Advocate High Court was also present on the Dais and onhehalf of RAWA thanks Performing arts Department of Bangalore University to organize such beautiful program. Shri Ananth Ram Bhat, Secretary, RU & RAWA , Bangalore Chapter has said that Shri Sarkar has founded the Ananda Marga organisation which stands for Self liberation and welfare of humanity. He has also given a new philosophy known as Neohumanism. According to sarkar Humanity is the total perfection and imperfection of human beings. When we get new ideas and thoughts then it is known as humanism. But* *Neo-humanism is the underlying spirit of humanity extended to everything, it is Neo- humanism. In other way the theory which teaches the welfare of living and non living both is Neo- humanism. Students of Performing arts, Bangalore University performed four dances based on Sanskrit, Bengla & Hindi Prabhat Samgiita and also sang two Prabhat Samgiita. Smt Sharmishtha, RAWA Artists also sang three songs of Prabhat Samgiita. All performers enthralled the audience by their* *performance.
