 A two day International Seminar organized by School of Vedic Studies in collaboration with Renaissance Universal & Renaissance Artists and Writers Association  concluded today









School of Vedic Studies, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in collaboration with Renaissance Universal (RU) and Renaissance Artists' & Writers' Association (RAWA), , the Intellectual and Cultural wings of Ananda Marga Pracharaka Samgha has organized a 2-day International Seminar on ‘The Vedic Tradition and Shrii  Shrii Anandamurtiji : In Modern Perspectives’ in the School of Vedic Studies, Rabindra Bharati University concluded today.

On 31st January,24 there were three academic sessions on two themes entitled    (i) Indian Philosophy & Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji , (ii) Neo-Humanism and Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji and (iii) Indian Aesthetics and Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

Dr. Sindhu Poudyal, Dept. of Philosophy, Tripura University (Central) ; Ms. Reshmi Chattopadhyay, UGC-Junior Research Fellow ; Smt. Bedabati Chowdhuri, Ph. D. Scholar, Nalanda Mahavihar University and Shri. Jaydev Pal, Ph.D. Scholar, Rabindra Bharati University spoke on various aspects of the theme ‘Indian Philosophy & Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji’. The session was Chaired by Prof. Aditya Kumar Mohnaty, Visiting Professor, Dept. of Philosophy, Tripura University (Central).

Dr. Sunandita Bhowmik, Assistant Prof., Dept. of  Education, Coochbehar Panchanan Barma University ; Dr. Tripti Dhar,Associate Prof.,  Dept. of Philosophy, Raiganj University ; Dr. Nabin Kumar Jana, Reader-F, NISER, Bhubaneswar, Odisha and Ms. Sangita Mal, Ph.D. Scholar, Pondicherry University spoke on various aspects of the theme ‘Neo-Humanism and Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji’. The session was Chaired by Prof. Gopal Chandra Misra, Former Vice-Chancellor, Gour Banga Visvavidyalaya.

Dr. Manidipa Das, Head, Dept. of Sanskrit, Rabindra Bharati University ; Dr. Durba Singha Roychowdhury, Dept. of Rabindra Sangeet, Rabindra Bharati University and Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Asstt. Prof., Dept. of Music, Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh spoke on various aspects of the theme ‘Indian Aesthetics and Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji’. The session was Chaired by Prof. Debashis Mandal, Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, Rabindra Bharati University.

The Valedictory Address was delivered by Prof. Gopal Chandra Misra, Former Vice-chancellor, Gour Banga University,  Malda which was presided over by Prof. Nabanarayan Bandyopadhyay, Former Director of the School of Vedic Studies, RabindraBharati University  on 31st January, 2024. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Bhaskarnath Bhattacharya, Director, School of Vedic Studies, Rabindra Bharati University and Convener of the Seminar.
